I started my career 32 years ago carrying out data entry into a bespoke RPGII database running on a Novell 2.x network (I can imagine some googling going on right now). This led to work as a junior programmer for a small VAR, and then onto an IBM reseller, supporting AS400 mainframes.
The inception of the PC meant I transitioned from Software Development into PC Engineering with the next 15 years spent working in the VAR channel on PC architecture platforms during the rise of Microsoft and demise of IBM, followed by a move from 2nd and 3rd line field engineering into pre sales technical consultancy.
I’ve worked in various sectors including Financial, Retail and Utilities, where I took on my first Architecture role. With my career background, Infrastructure Architecture has always been close to my core skills, with the definition of Infrastructure expanding to include Cloud & Enterprise Architecture.

I have defined and shaped strategy for Enterprise Architecture, Service orientation and Cloud, including transformation approaches and innovations to establish next generation platform solutions.
I have specialised in a number of IT areas, with Distributed computing being one of my areas over 15 years. I am a highly adaptable individual, who believes in innovative and creative thinking’.
